First, it's important to understand when to eat fruit.** Fruit can be eaten when blood sugar levels are relatively normal. However, it should not be consumed without limit.

We all know that fruit is rich in sugar, which can easily cause a rise in blood sugar. Therefore, diabetic patients should not eat too much fruit to avoid worsening their condition. Sometimes, to maintain normal blood sugar levels, small amounts of fruit can be eaten, but changes in blood sugar and urine sugar must be monitored. If urine sugar increases after eating fruit, staple foods should be reduced to prevent a rise in blood sugar.

Diabetic patients should ideally eat fruit after meals. It is crucial to avoid eating fruit between meals, as this can cause a rapid rise in blood sugar. Diabetic patients can generally choose fruits with low sugar content; fruits with high sugar content should be avoided.

Based on the effects of fruit on blood sugar, diabetic patients can consume approximately 100 grams (2 liang) of fruit daily, while simultaneously reducing their staple food intake by about 25 grams to maintain the same total daily calorie intake.

Moderate consumption of seafood is recommended: Omega-3 fatty acids in fish have a protective effect on the heart. It is important to note that consuming large amounts of beer while eating seafood can produce excessive uric acid, potentially triggering gout. Excess uric acid can accumulate in joints and soft tissues, causing inflammation and even leading to kidney stones and uremia.

Furthermore, deep-sea fish are rich in protein and calcium. Consuming them with fruits like persimmons, grapes, pomegranates, hawthorns, and green plums can reduce the nutritional value of the protein. Additionally, certain chemical components in these fruits can react with the calcium in seafood, forming a new, indigestible substance that may irritate the gastrointestinal tract, causing abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Therefore, seafood should be eaten at least two hours apart from these fruits.
