Precautions During Exercise and Sleep
Precautions during exercise:
Patients with hyperlipidemia without other complications should maintain a moderate level of exercise, which means jogging 3-5 kilometers daily. Those with mild hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and asymptomatic coronary heart disease should adjust their exercise intensity accordingly, ensuring that no significant physical discomfort occurs during exercise. If necessary, exercise should be performed under medical supervision. Exercise is prohibited for those with severe hypertension, serious heart disease (such as acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, severe arrhythmias, etc.), severe diabetes, and severe liver and kidney dysfunction. Moderate exercise can be considered only after these conditions have significantly improved. Furthermore, exercise should be consistent and not easily abandoned.

Precautions during sleep:
Avoid using a high pillow, as blood flow is slower in people with high blood lipids, and even slower during sleep. If the head and neck are elevated, blood flow to the head will slow down and decrease, greatly increasing the risk of ischemic stroke (cerebral infarction).

Avoid overeating at dinner, as increased gastrointestinal motility after eating diverts blood flow to the digestive system, reducing blood flow to the head and heart, thus increasing the risk of cerebral infarction and coronary heart disease.
Middle-aged and elderly people should not use heavy blankets in winter. Experts believe that heavy blankets not only affect breathing but also hinder blood circulation throughout the body, easily leading to cerebral blood flow disorders and hypoxia, increasing cerebral venous pressure and intracranial pressure.

Since sleeping pills and strong antihypertensive drugs both slow down blood flow during sleep to varying degrees, relatively increasing blood viscosity and leading to stroke, avoid taking large amounts of these medications before bed.

Lowering blood lipids should be done in moderation.
High blood lipids are an important factor leading to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The higher the total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein levels in the blood lipids, the higher the incidence and mortality rates of coronary heart disease.
